Thoughts about the art of tap dance

About

I have been tap dancing practically since birth. I performed and competed for many years.  I graduated from Emerson College with a degree in theater.  After performing professionally, I had children and retired from the stage and focused on my teaching.

I have been teaching tap for over 32 years.  My students have won many local and national titles and I have students who have worked for Disney World, various cruise lines and appeared on America's Best Dance Crew.  I have completed the Dance Masters of America teacher training school and the Dance Teacher's Club of Boston training program and I am a member of both organizations.  I have logged countless hours studying with many master teachers.  I still continue to take class as often as possible, because I love to learn new steps!

I have judged and taught for many organizations, including DMA, DTCB, Turn it Up Dance Challenge,  and Sophisticated Productions and I also taught tap to the Wheaton College Dance Team.

While not tap dancing, which isn't often, I like to spend time with my husband and two beautiful daughters.  I also like to scrapbook and make greeting cards.
